OUR MISSION
TO LOVE GOD WITH ALL WE HAVE AND ALL WE ARE AND TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR AS OURSELVES.
TO GROW CLOSER TO CHRIST AND STRIVE TO BE MORE LIKE HIM DAILY.
TO SERVE JESUS BY REACHING OUR COMMUNITY AND LOVING THEM LIKE HE DOES.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
-
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
-
We believe that the one true God has revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
-
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare:
His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead.
-
We believe that humans were created good and upright. However, mankind willingly sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
-
Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through ‘Salvation’ (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior)
-
We believe in water baptism by immersion as modeled in Scripture. All who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. It is a way to declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
-
Also called the Lord’s Supper, is regularly observed as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
-
We believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit is something that all believers are entitled to, should expect, and seek. With this baptism comes power for life and service, spiritual gifts, and their uses in the work of the ministry.
We also believe that the Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
This experience is separate from and subsequent to the experience of salvation.
-
We believe that sanctification initially occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
-
The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
